Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Sygna. By connecting your WooCommerce store or using the Sygna dashboard, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Sygna on behalf of a business, you agree on that business's behalf. Questions? [email protected].

Sygna is currently an early-access pilot phase operated from Israel — free access by invitation. These Terms apply regardless. As Sygna moves out of pilot, we will update this page with our registered legal entity and address.

Availability. New self-service accounts can currently be created only by merchants operating in Israel. That restriction applies to account creation and to nothing else: if you already have an account you can sign in and use Sygna from anywhere, your store keeps sending events, and your connected platforms keep working. Whether signup is available is decided from the coarse network location of the signup request, which is not proof of your nationality, residence or place of business — it is a product-availability check. If you operate from Israel and cannot register (for example because you are travelling), email us and we will issue you a one-time invitation.

1. What Sygna does

Sygna receives conversion events from your WooCommerce store via our plugin, provides strategy recommendations, and forwards events to the ad platforms you connect (Meta CAPI, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, TikTok). When the hosted-AI feature is enabled, Sygna may use a disclosed hosted AI provider to help parse your business-profile notes and draft strategy recommendations. Hosted AI is disabled for the initial beta — see our Privacy Policy for details. Sygna does not manage your ad campaigns, spend, or creative.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 and have authority to bind your business.
  • Provide accurate information and keep it updated. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Keep your credentials secure. If you believe your account is compromised, email us immediately.

3. Pilot phase

During the pilot: the service is free; features may change without notice; we will try to give reasonable advance notice of changes that significantly affect how you use Sygna; there are no uptime guarantees, though we aim for reliability. When we introduce paid plans, we will give clear notice — you will not be charged without a separate agreement.

4. What you can and cannot do

You can use Sygna to track events from stores you own or are authorized to manage, view your data in the dashboard, and cancel your account at any time.

You may not:

  • Use Sygna to track stores you do not own or are not authorized to manage.
  • Forward fabricated, inflated, or fraudulent conversion events to ad platforms.
  • Use the service in ways that violate applicable law or Meta's, Google's, or any other connected platform's terms and policies.
  • Reverse-engineer, resell, or sublicense the platform.
  • Attempt to access parts of the system you are not authorized for.
  • Track individuals who have not had an opportunity to consent where consent is required.

5. Your data and responsibilities as controller

Your site data belongs to you and your customers. We use it only to deliver the service. When you forward customer data to Meta, Google, or TikTok through Sygna, you are the data controller. You are responsible for:

  • Having a lawful basis to collect your customers' data and to share it with ad platforms.
  • Disclosing your use of server-side conversion tracking in your site's privacy policy.
  • Obtaining any required consent before customer data is forwarded to ad platforms.
  • Complying with applicable privacy law — including the GDPR (if you serve EU/EEA users), the CCPA/CPRA (if you have California customers), Israel's Privacy Protection Law and Amendment 13 (if you operate in Israel), and any other law that applies to your store and its customers.

5a. Merchant-managed privacy

By default Sygna sends a conversion to an advertising platform only when it has the visitor permission evidence that send requires. Merchant-managed privacy is an optional setting an account owner may turn on for an eligible store. Under it, Sygna may rely on your attestation for the uses you select when — and only when — all of the following are true at the moment of the event:

  • Sygna has no authoritative permission signal from that visitor;
  • no consent layer was detected on your store that should be producing that decision;
  • the visitor has not refused the use in question;
  • your store still meets the eligibility requirements — you have declared that the business operates from Israel, and your WooCommerce base country is reported as Israel over the authenticated plugin connection and is current;
  • Sygna observed the visitor's network location for that session as Israel; and
  • the destination platform's own requirements permit the send.

Each of those can only narrow the result. None of them can widen it. In particular:

  • A visitor's refusal always wins. No setting, attestation or eligibility state overrides an explicit refusal.
  • Sygna has not certified your legal compliance. Enabling this setting is not a review, an approval, or an opinion about your privacy notices, your lawful basis, or your obligations. Sygna does not read or assess your privacy policy. The determination is yours, and the attestation records that you made it.
  • Eligibility is not verification."Your store currently meets the eligibility requirements" means the product checks passed. It is not a statement that your business is registered in Israel, and Sygna collects no registration documents.
  • Connected platforms apply their own terms. Sygna builds no audiences and performs no personalisation, and those uses cannot be selected. That does not prevent Meta, Google or TikTok from using data they receive for delivery, relevance or personalisation under the terms of your own account with them. Sygna cannot enforce a restriction on how they use it and does not claim to.
  • We may switch it off.Sygna may disable this setting — for one store or for the whole service — where routing looks unsafe, where evidence is missing or stale, or where a platform's requirements change. Your stored preference is kept; what changes is what Sygna will act on, and the dashboard says so rather than implying you changed it.

Turning this setting on requires an account owner to accept a short attestation. When we change that wording materially, the previous acceptance stops being current and the setting stays off until an owner accepts the new wording.

6. What we commit to

  • We process your data only as described in our Privacy Policy and only to deliver the service.
  • We do not sell your data or your customers' data.
  • We store ad credentials encrypted and do not expose them in logs.
  • We hash customer PII (email, phone) before transmitting to ad platforms.
  • We will notify you of material changes to these Terms with reasonable advance notice.

7. Third-party platforms

Your use of Meta, Google, and TikTok is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for changes to their APIs, decisions about your ad accounts, attribution accuracy, or how they handle data once events are transmitted.

8. Intellectual property

Sygna's platform, code, and strategy models are our intellectual property. Your site data and business profile remain yours. By using Sygna, you grant us a limited license to process your data to deliver the service. Feedback you share may be used to improve the product — we appreciate it.

9. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is." We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, error-free event forwarding, or that recommendations will improve your ad performance. Conversion tracking accuracy depends on many factors outside our control: browser restrictions, consent rates, ad platform behavior, and attribution windows.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including lost ad spend or lost profits). Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of: the amount you paid Sygna in the 12 months before the claim, or ILS 500. During the free pilot, ILS 500 applies.

This does not limit liability for fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or violations of data protection law that we cannot exclude under applicable law.

11. Termination

You can cancel at any time by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms and do not remedy it within 14 days of notice, or if your use poses a risk to the platform or other users. If we discontinue the service, we will give at least 30 days' notice where possible. On termination, we handle your data as described in our Data Deletion policy.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer or data-protection law gives you rights that cannot be waived. We prefer to resolve disputes by conversation first — email us before initiating legal proceedings. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, it is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel, unless mandatory law requires a different forum.

13. Changes

For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance. If you disagree, cancel before the change takes effect.

14. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the full agreement between you and Sygna.
  • Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver. Failure to enforce a provision does not waive our right to do so later.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours in connection with a merger or acquisition.
  • Language. The English version of these Terms controls in case of conflict with any translation.

15. Data processing

Where Sygna processes personal data on your documented instructions to deliver the service, our Data Processing Addendum applies and forms part of these Terms. The DPA also identifies the activities Sygna carries out for its own purposes — operating and securing the service, and the availability waitlist — where Sygna is not acting solely on your instructions.
